1. Overview & Commitment

BrainSave ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy while empowering you to overcome digital addiction, stop doomscrolling, and reclaim mental focus. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, and safeguards your data.

2. Mandatory User Consent & Timestamp Audit

Before creating an account or using BrainSave, all users are required to review and explicitly accept this Privacy Policy. Your consent is cryptographically recorded with an immutable timestamp (privacyPolicyAcceptedAt) saved in our secure Google Cloud Firestore database.

3. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials securely handled via Firebase Authentication.
• Profile Photos & Avatars: Custom uploaded images or chosen spiritual avatar presets.
• Usage Statistics: Foreground app duration collected on-device via Android UsageStatsManager to compute your Brain Health Score.
• Shorts/Reels Counter: Vertical swipe gestures counted via Android AccessibilityService to power the live anti-doomscroll overlay.
• Focus & Spiritual Progress: Naam Chaap mantra counts, completed malas, streak counts, and XP milestones.

4. Android Special Permissions Use

• PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS (Usage Access): Used strictly on-device to compute app screen time. We never inspect messages, browsing history, or content inside other apps.
• SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW (Display Over Other Apps): Used exclusively to present the "Time's Up 🛑" dopamine pause or swap screen when you exceed your self-imposed app limit.
• BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE: Used solely to count vertical scroll swipe gestures in target video apps. We NEVER record on-screen text, typed passwords, private communications, or payment details.

5. 7-Day Free Trial, Subscription & Razorpay UPI Billing

Every new user receives a 7-day free trial upon registration. Subscription payments (₹21/month or ₹221/year) are processed via Razorpay supporting UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), NetBanking, and Cards. BrainSave never sees or stores your bank credentials or card numbers. Digital invoices with transaction IDs are saved under your account.

6. Social Leaderboard & Privacy Visibility Settings

You have granular control over how you appear to others: Public (visible on global community board), Friends Only, or Private. Selecting Private immediately purges your record from the public community leaderboard.

7. Right to be Forgotten (Instant Account & Data Deletion)

In full compliance with GDPR and international privacy regulations, you can delete your account at any time via Profile Settings > Delete Account. Triggering deletion permanently and immediately purges your profile, all usage records, leaderboard entries, receipts, and authentication credentials.

8. Data Security & Zero Third-Party Selling

All screen time logs and gesture triggers are processed 100% locally on your phone. Cloud data is transmitted over TLS/SSL and stored in secure Google Cloud Firestore databases. We do NOT sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal data to any advertiser or third party.
